There are 2 groups of oil software covering shore and ship calculations:
in US customary units and in Metric units.
Calculations in US customary units for shore & ship's sides are covered by the program Ship Oil US.
Calculations in Metric units for shore and ship's side are covered in the following programs:
Ship Oil EU, Ship Oil EU Cal, Ship Oil EU Vac and Ship Oil EU Vac Cal.
As a bonus these programs can calculate ship's side in US customary units as well.
The program Ship Oil US which calculates in US customary units has the following list of cargo operations as shown on the picture below:
The programs Ship Oil EU, Ship Oil EU Cal, Ship Oil EU Vac and Ship Oil EU Vac Cal which calculate in metric units have the following
list of cargo operations as shown on the picture below:
You can select either to calculate on basis of ASTM D1250-1980 or as per ASTM D1250-2004 which was re-approved in 2008 and then in
2019 and which table to use for calculation of VCF (CTPL) by selecting either "Crude", or "Product", or "Lube":
You can select in Ship Oil EU, Ship Oil EU Cal, Ship Oil EU Vac and Ship Oil EU Vac Cal the way, how to calculate US barrels at 60°F:
You can select in Ship Oil EU, Ship Oil EU Cal, Ship Oil EU Vac and Ship Oil EU Vac Cal from the drop-down list, which density
to use in ship's calculations:
You can select in Ship Oil US for each of 5 grades of products the way of calculations either by shore tank measurements or
by meters by clicking on "Meter / Shore tank" menu.
You will see the following userform on your screen:
You can select in Ship Oil EU, Ship Oil EU Cal, Ship Oil EU Vac and Ship Oil EU Vac Cal for each of 5 grades of products the way of
calculations either by shore tank measurements or by meters by clicking on "Product List" menu.
You will see the following userform on your screen:
For your convenience in Ship Oil EU, Ship Oil EU Cal, Ship Oil EU Vac and Ship Oil EU Vac Cal you can use a built-in
interpolation calculator of volumes in Metric units allowing to take into account simultaneously product level (ullage or innage) and the trim or list correction:
In Ship Oil US you can use a built-in interpolation calculator of volumes either in Metric units or in US customary units:
In Ship Oil EU Cal or Ship Oil EU Vac Cal you can use built-in shore tank calibration tables.
First you need to select from the drop-down list the required number of the shore tank used as shown below:
After the selection of the number of the shore tank you only need to enter a level of the product or of the free water
in the shore tank and appropriate volumes will be calculated by the program automatically as shown below:
As you can see, all these programs have a lot of useful features designed to automate and facilitates oil calculations.
We only showed some of useful capabilities available in our oil calculation programs.
There are also a couple of programs such as Shore Oil EU Vac Cal and Shore Oil EU RU Vac Cal covering only shore
tank calculations with built-in shore tank calibration tables having possibility to download Tankmaster data to speed up filling
in reports.
These programs have built-in forms with Bills of lading, Certificates of Quantity and Certificates of Quality which is useful
for companies involved in preparation of export cargo documents.
